... DOMINGO EH DIA DO SENHOR!!!!

Some people say: “Sunday is "The Lord's Day"!!
I totally agree with it!
My parents have taught me since I was very little... that Sunday is a very special day… a day that is the “Lord’s Day”, a day to be in the “Lord’s House”… Day of Joy, of happiness… for this reason I use the figure of this “happy sun”, because for me “Sunday” is like this… a happy day, a sunshiny day (even if is raining)… a day to wake up early, to wear nice clothes, to go to the church , to have dinner with the whole family…
My father use to say that we could do whatever we want to do on Saturday evening… but Sunday morning we must be in the church… from Monday to Saturday I could sleep how many hours I want, but Sunday was “bible school” day… I looooove bible school so much… I’ve always loved bible stories, they are spectacular!!! They’re full of action, signs, visions, miracles!!! Can you imagine what this means in a child’s mind??? WOW!!!
But to be fair, in those times I had the “top notch” teachers of my church… “Aunt Telma” and “Grandma Cacilda”!!! WOW they were the best!!! My aunt Telma would laugh if she reads this..hehehehe… but you have no idea what means have a story told by her… was different, I guarantee.
So I grew up and obviously I became a bible school teacher… it was my pleasure to keep planting this seed in “little people’s” heart (as they did in mine) … When I started they were 4, 5 years old, but as they grew I didn’t stay, they move me with them, and was wonderful to see them enjoying the stories so much, paying attention of each word very carefully, liking, participating…because those weren’t ‘just’ stories but TRUE STORIES… and the best of all is listen today when they say to me: “I remember when you use to tell us bible stories, like Moses… I’ve never forget it!”
Today I live in Italy and unfortunately I haven’t found a church to go yet, but I miss so much… I miss the stories… of course, today my “teachers” are much more growth (hehe), they use different word, we don’t have boards, figures… but the feeling is the same… LOVE IT!!
My son Pedro is 3 now and I’m planting this little seed in his heart… because it was very good for me… worked… so I want the same for him… I’ll try to teach him not to spend Saturday night around thinking that Sunday is the “rest day” or “the day of laziness” … is much, much more…
Jesus was crucified on Friday but has risen on Sunday!! For some reason, this day is special… and Jesus’ resurrection was the most important fact for us Christians… Sunday is the first day, the new day, new breath, new time… I have to be ready to work, school, bills, payments, stress… I can rest on Saturday…
… Sunday is the LORD’S DAY!!
